I LOVE A PARADE! If you do... and you, your business, or organization would like to participate in the 29th Annual Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade, Monday May 26 2008, please fill out the application (below). Our theme this year is HEROES, because we all need heroes, in our community, in our families, and in our times. We want to honor those we've lost this past year, and celebrate those whose heroism enriches our daily lives. Our parents, our teachers, our leaders and our friends. Let's remember them all with wondrous floats, musical tributes and the many marvelous ways we celebrate in our own delightfully eclectic Mill Valley parade. If you would like to create your own entry or participate jointly with other similar businesses or organizations, contact me and I will assist you. This is the year for renewed enthusiasm, creativity, humor, and a cooperative team spirit in all entries. We're especially looking for skateboarders, bikers, jugglers and clowns. If you just happen to have a pet elephant, bring him (or her) along with the rest of your neighborhood group. And if your dog's in the Dog Division or you're a skateboarder or a biker, a juggler or a clown, just show up at the staging area- no charge, application is necessary. This is YOUR parade. This is YOUR town. Get involved! We need more volunteers to assist on Parade Day and before. Or at the very least, be sure to line the sidewalks on May 26. Be there or be square!
